Don’t allow your imagination to hold you back.

Your imagination is much more powerful than you think and it can take you places you don’t want to go.

There is a good chance you will end up where your imagination has been taking you. If you have been imagining things you want such as achieving your goals this is great. On the other hand if you have been imagining things you don’t want, you are headed for bad things. Pay attention to what you are imagining, listen to your thoughts expressed in what you say. Make an effort to concentrate on what you want and envision them to you.

You can have what you want. Imagine that.

It is always sunny above the clouds.

If you look above the day to day irritations and setbacks, you will see the sun or possibilities for you.

All that day to day stuff keeps pulling our focus down. We lose sight of our goals. As hard as it is to do, if you step back and remember why we are involved in this stuff and where it is supposed to lead, your focus will change. Things fall into perspective and our energy and morale improves. Life is fun again.

Put on your sunglasses and let the good life in.

Maybe your flaws are making you perfect for something you haven’t discovered yet.

Sure you have flaws, we all do, but these are making you different and perhaps better at something.

Flaws are labels the world is putting on you traits or actions. But what if the world just doesn’t have up to date information on what is needed right now? When we are told we have flaws, we try to change and force ourselves into a mold that the world wants. I urge you to step back and look for a “new world” or different situation where your “flaws” are just what is needed to succeed. And the best part is that once you have discovered this new world, you won’t have any competition!

A new world is out there looking for you.

Success is not a part time job.

Strive for consistent movement towards your goals.

I am not expecting major breakthroughs on a regular basis, but I do expect you to take some action towards your goals every day. These do not have to be massive actions, baby steps are fine. In fact baby steps are better at keeping you motivated in the long run. Every day look at your goals then look at what is going on in the world today and then take some action however small towards your goal.

Here is the main reason you are not succeeding.

Your self-image does not match who you want to become.

If your self-image does not match the person you want to become, no amount of goal setting will help you. Do some serious thinking about who you think you are. If you do not like yourself very much, you need to work on changing your self-image. Things like affirmations, positive self-talk, associating with positive people, etc. will all move your self-image up a notch.

It is time to acknowledge you are way better than you think you are.

Three proven ways to be happier.

The following techniques are guaranteed to make you happier.

Spend more time with friends and family. This means face to face time, not texting, etc. This social network is extremely powerful in creating a feeling of well being.

Be grateful for what you have. The more you remind yourself of the good things in your life the happier you will be. Even if it does not seem like much, find positive things in your life and focus on them.

Act like you are happy even if are not. Your body will fool your mind into actually being happy. It sounds weird but it really works.

These techniques are free and don’t take a lot of time. And you will begin to see results right away.

Four habits that are holding you back.

Your habits make you or break you here are some that are definitely breaking you.

Spending anything more than minimal time on social media. What do you really get out of it versus what you could be doing?

Concentrating on negative information. It comes to you from every angle. Avoid it, it will just pull you down.

Texting instead of talking. You need “real world” contact to keep up your social skills.

Being indecisive. Make up your mind you can always change things later. Act on opportunities when they present themselves.

Four ideas to eliminate right now if you want to be successful.

Our thoughts are the key to our success or failure.

These thoughts can get you in big trouble if you let them run your life.

1. Thinking you are always right. This closes you off from new ideas and that is the key to moving ahead.

2. Thinking that your past determines your future, particularly if you focus on the negative. Every day you start with a clean slate, use it.

3. Thinking that you are a victim. By taking responsibility for what happens to you, you gain control of your life and your self-esteem goes up.

4. Thinking about what others think about you. You give up your own values and standards by doing this. You are perfect as you are.

Here is how to keep other people from pulling you down.

The sad truth is that most of the people around you want you to fail.

They may not even know it but most people will throw roadblocks in front of your efforts to succeed. You can’t control them but you can control how you respond. You have to keep your self confidence up through the use of affirmations and taking positive action. You deserve to be happy and successful. Keep a list of your past accomplishments, even if they are small. Remember them when the Nay Sayers come around and keep on keeping on.

Know what will make you fail and plan what to do when it happens.

Just as you must know what success looks like, you must know what failure is and what you will do if it happens.

As you work towards your goals, you will have setbacks. Do you know which setbacks are permanent and how you will “bail” when they occur? If you think through what can go wrong, you can avoid quitting too soon. Also your response time to problems will be much better allowing you to get back on track sooner.
