Pay attention to every moment.

Every moment, every experience gives you further insight into your purpose on earth.

Many of us spend a lot of time trying to figure out what we are doing here. And yet we ignore information coming from all around us. We create so much “noise”, we can’t hear the world whispering what we need to know. If you tone it down and live in the moment you will receive this information and can get on with the lives we were meant to live.

Live in the moment and listen to what comes in.

Are you a failure?

It depends on how you look at it.

Trying to determine if we are a success or a failure haunts us most of the time. And yet the answer is that in most cases it depends on very arbitrary measurements and comes down to us deciding which way we want to judge it. You can spend your life analyzing a situation and trying to put a label on it. Or you save yourself a lot of grief and say what you learned and move on to another project. From a productivity standpoint, moving on is the way to go. More importantly, from a self esteem perspective, the best approach is to give yourself the benefit of the doubt and move on as well.

I declare you the winner, and it is time to move on.

How to find your path.

The search for whom or what we were meant to be seems to go on forever, so here is how to speed the process.

The first step is to lighten up. Finding your path takes a gentle touch and cannot be forced. Lightening up lays the groundwork for what will ultimately lead to the answer you want. You need to listen and watch what is going on inside you and how you interact with the world in order to find the clues as to what you were meant for. You need to live in the moment and ignore previous assumptions. Then and only then will the message of who you are meant to be get through to you.

The message is waiting, turn down the volume and you will hear it.

If you have more than three projects on your goals list, you don’t have any.

You need to limit your goals list to three items or you won’t accomplish any of them.

Having more than three projects drains your resources beyond the point of a useful return. You have to admit you only have a limited amount of energy and time in the day to accomplish things and the more you spread yourself thin, the lower the chances of success for any of them.

Pick three key goals and toss the others for now.

To be happy forget R & R, get active instead.

New research shows that activity is the key to happiness, not sitting around waiting for it.

Passive methods of seeking happiness just don’t cut it when put to the test. Actively doing things that move you into a happier place is the answer. Exercise is one of the top ways to improve your happiness. No need to kill yourself, just get moving. Same for group activities. Anything that gets you out interacting with other people takes the blues away.

Stop trying to think you way into happiness and get moving.

Two ways to stimulate your creativity.

You are going to need to be creative if you are going to accomplish your goals and here are two things to help.

The best things you can have in order to really jump-start your creativity are a deep commitment to making your goals happen and also a pressing problem related to the goal. Deep commitment fosters a positive yet strong desire to make things happen and stimulates your subconscious to come up with ideas. The same for pressing problems related to your goal. You subconscious kicks your creativity into high gear.

Pick a goal and use these techniques on it right now.

You will need a healthy body if you are going to accomplish big things.

Sure you mind has great plans, but your body is needed to make them happen.

Like it or not you have include health as part of your planning for success. On some level you will need your body to do things to make it happen. I am not saying you have to embark on a massive exercise program and eat nothing but health foods. I am saying you have to do a minimal amount of exercise and eat at least semi healthily to have a body that support your plans. Start to do something healthy for yourself even if it is a walk around the block.

Take a step at a time to bring some more health into your life.

Six ways to be nicer to yourself today.

Stop taking the joy out of your life and start giving yourself some well deserved credit by using these techniques.

Take the spotlight off of the negative things in your life and do the things listed below then watch how life improves for you.

1. Start each day with some positive affirmations about yourself. Even if you don’t believe them at first, they will pull your opinion of yourself up.

2. Say “No” a lot. Stop being available to everybody for everything. Get your life back by gaining control of your schedule.

3. Meditate. A new calmness awaits you if you take a few minutes for this.

4. Exercise. It doesn’t have to be a major do, just start.

5. Talk to yourself like a friend. Stop beating yourself up all the time and be kind to yourself.

6. Write down your accomplishments at the end of the day. This gives you a positive feeling and helps you do more the next day.

So pick one of these things to do right now and start, I promise you will be happy with the outcome.

Here are five things you can do to rewire your brain to be happy.

Happiness doesn’t just happen, you have to work for it, but it is fast and easy,

Unless you take steps to be happy, the built in tendency towards negativity most of us have will run things. You have to focus on being happy for it to happen and taking these five steps will really turn things around for you.

1. Think of three things you’re grateful for
2. Write about a positive experience from the past 24 hours
3. Exercise
4. Meditate
5. Perform one random act of kindness.
If you do this every day for just 30 days, it can change the neural pathways in your brain, making happiness second nature.

Throw most of your stuff out if you want to be happy.

Your “stuff” is holding your success hostage.

The more stuff you have the more time it takes away from your life. It takes up physical space and it also takes up mental space. Most people hardly have time to think due to the time and effort of having lots of stuff requires. Gone is the time to plan but also time to enjoy life is eaten away. It is hard to have the big idea when you can’t even find the remote.

What can you toss right now?
