Change want to have to if you want success.

There are tons of things you want, but only a limited number of things you have to. Guess which things get done.

Wanting to do something doesn’t carry the weight of having to do something. And it shows in the results you get. There are seven days in a week and someday is not one of them. Wanting puts things in the someday category and that is the kiss of death. If you want to accomplish a goal find a way to make it a must do and it will happen.

Is today a someday or a must day?

Your success in any endeavor is forever linked directly to your heart, your will, and your steadfast commitment to goals.

You cannot ever let fatigue make you a coward, nor can you ever expect to win without struggling, without suffering, without sacrificing…as these are all essential elements of the DNA of winning. The relentless attitude is the winning attitude and the remarkable thing about life is that we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. You cannot change your past. You cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. You cannot change the inevitable. The only thing you can do is to play on the one string you have, and that is your attitude

So what is it: you can choose to be relentless, or you can choose to roll over and surrender to weakness.

Five little things you can do right now to become a new you.

You have a better chance of becoming a new you if you take baby steps and start now.

Here are five quick and easy steps to start you on the way to becoming the person you want to be.

1. Take your top goal and find something you can do to help you attain it, then do it.

2. Do one thing to improve your health right now such as putting down that cookie and doing one sit up.

3. List seven things you are grateful for right now.

4. Ask someone for help on something that is holding you back.

5. Say no to someone that wants to waste your time.

Don’t worry about which is the best one to do first, just pick one and do it now!

Jumping back and forth to various projects because you find them unpleasant really kills your productivity.

No matter how much you dislike a task, stay with it as long as you can. If you have to keep going back to it, your productivity takes a nosedive. Having to restart lost momentum is a feat in itself. It pulls every project you put off finishing down with it.

Go finish something.

Reserving your decision making for just the high priority decisions save brainpower for when you need it.

Many of us suffer from “decision overload” in which we bombard ourselves with decisions from the moment we get up till we go to bed. It starts with what to eat for breakfast and runs on till we decide on what to watch on TV. Every decision we make takes a toll on us and we need to cut down on the number of decisions we make to reduce the toll. The more little stuff we turn into habits that eliminate choices or let others make for us can help with this.

. We don’t have to feel happy to smile. But if we smile, we begin to feel happy.

Spending a few minutes preparing a To-Do list for the next day before you wrap things up for the night will results in a huge gain in your productivity.

Spend a few minutes before bed preparing a list of activities you need to complete the next day. Waking up with a plan of action will immediately increase your productivity.

The time spent trying to figure out what you should do next will be replaced with moving quickly to your next priority. Moving quickly from one task to the next will save time, effort, and keep you focused on the priorities for the day.
