If you are failing, this is probably the reason.

Fear of failure affects 90% of the population and that fear brings about the failure they are afraid of.

It seems odd that a fear of failure would cause us to fail, but it is true. We become afraid to take risks and taking risks is pretty much the only way you will become successful. You have to change from what and where you are to be successful. No change means no success. Work on your self esteem by constantly giving yourself credit for even the smallest success you have. Keep stretching and only focus on the wins. Gradually you will begin to take the risks that gives you the successes you need.

Only wins count from this point on.

Deal with the here and now, not what you might be fearing in the future.

Most of us spend a great deal of time fighting battles that are never going to take place. We worry about things in the future and do not pay adequate attention to what we have to deal with now. We end up sacrificing quality on what is real because of this.

Getting here is one thing, getting there is quite another.

For most people getting from where they are now to where they want to be requires a huge change.

If you are unhappy with where you are now, chances are all the things you did to get there are totally wrong if you want to get on the path to success. The amount and type of thinking, work, etc., all needs to change. In the long run it will all be worth it so gear yourself up for change and get to it.

Take that first step now.

Worrying is a misuse of your energy.

Instead of imagining the worst, imagine the best and how you can make it happen.

Worry is one of our worst enemies. It takes our time, and energy and gives very little back. It can serve as a useful alarm that something is wrong, but after that, it is generally useless. Once you find yourself worrying about something, check the issue out and see if you can do anything about it. If not, focus on the positive and move on.

Hold off setting rigid deadlines for a goal until you have done some work on it.

Deadlines are great but they can cause real problems early on.

Deadlines set when a goal is set tend to be way off the mark. This causes a great deal of frustration and may even cause a goal to be dropped unnecessarily. Once you get some experience with your goal you will be in a much better position to judge what deadlines to set. You will experience a lot less grief and have a much better chance of achieving the goal if a realistic deadline is set.

Is it time to rethink a deadline?

SAY IT, LIVE IT, BE IT

What we say to ourselves out loud or in our mind, define the reality that we live.

Given that the words we use create the world we will live in here are some things to start doing right away. Start your day by saying positive affirmations out loud and sneak them in as you can throughout the day. Keep focused on your goals by looking at every new situation and asking yourself how you can use it to move closer to your goal. Lastly accept setbacks as a normal condition of working towards a goal and focus on solutions, not what went wrong.

The world you want starts with the next words you say.

Once you have a big goal, focus on the process you will go through to make it happen.

Focus on the steps you need to reach the major goal and make each step a goal.

You will stay more motivated by crossing off each small step on your way to achieving the major goal. And if things go wrong it is easier to pick up the pieces and keep going with the smaller goals.

Small steps lead to big successes.
