You can’t buy success.

You have to earn it by putting in the time and effort required to make it happen.

Once you have an idea that will make you successful, the temptation is to throw money at it and hope it works. But most people stop there, they don’t put time and effort into the project since they think the “equipment” will make it happen. But in the end only time and effort will make it happen.

“sweat equity” is the kind you will be able to put in the bank.

How to be so good they can’t ignore you.

Deliberate practice is the key.

In order to get better you have to set up a system that gives you feedback as to how you are doing and then practice getting better in the areas that need development. Putting the time in on getting better is not enough, you have to know how you are doing. Look at what you are doing and break out tasks you can measure. Take these measures and develop ways to improve them. That is where your practice will pay off.

They are watching you, what do they see?

What separates the winners from the losers?

It is the ability to tolerate discomfort.

Obtaining success always and mean always guarantees you will experience discomfort along the way. Tolerance to discomfort varies from person to person and from situation to situation. Wanting something, I mean really wanting something increases your tolerance to discomfort. Know success is going to hurt a bit and ask yourself in advance if you are willing to live with it.

Are you ready for some pain?

When is “good enough” good enough?

If you are into “success” and “‘motivation”, you are probably doing too much.

It is easy to set “being the best” as your goal and then treat every project with the same effort. Going all out becomes your only speed. But then you burn out and realize you spent a lot of time on things that weren’t your top priority. You have to temper your efforts in terms of how thing rank on your goals and priorities. Time, money and energy are all limited. You need to step back every once in awhile and see if what you are doing merits all the effort you are putting in on it.

What are you doing that is good enough?

Good intentions are not enough.

Only results count.

Almost everyone has good intentions, but only a select few has any results at the end of the day. The reasons for this fall off are as varied as the people that had the good intentions. Some set unreasonable goals, others set the wrong goals and most did not translate their good intentions into goals at all. Most of us have a pattern as to why we don’t accomplish the things we want. We may always spend most of the day on social media, others talk themselves out of doing anything due to self limiting beliefs. You probably have a pretty good idea of what road blocks you set up for yourself.

Pick a good intention and make it happen today.

Enough doesn’t matter, only more matters.

When you do enough it is OK, but it won’t get you anywhere. On the other hand doing more is the ticket to success.

If you want to stand out, or be successful on your own, you have to do more than what is required. It is the extra that counts. Everything before that does not count. And extra is where the growth is. An extra rep when exercising is where the muscles are built. This is true in every aspect of your life.

More is better.
