Be more picky about what your thoughts are.

Most people aren’t as picky about what they think as they are about what they want on their hamburger.

All kinds of stuff rolls into your consciousness during the course of a day. Do you just let it all in, unscreened, unchallenged? Do you compare it to what you need given your goals? Your mind will help you “pre screen” a lot of the incoming information if you set up parameters such goals, objectives, etc and review them daily to let your mind know what you want and don’t want.

The world is sending information your way, are you ready?

Four ideas to eliminate right now if you want to be successful.

Our thoughts are the key to our success or failure.

These thoughts can get you in big trouble if you let them run your life.

1. Thinking you are always right. This closes you off from new ideas and that is the key to moving ahead.

2. Thinking that your past determines your future, particularly if you focus on the negative. Every day you start with a clean slate, use it.

3. Thinking that you are a victim. By taking responsibility for what happens to you, you gain control of your life and your self-esteem goes up.

4. Thinking about what others think about you. You give up your own values and standards by doing this. You are perfect as you are.

What are you thinking about now?

What to do to prevent Brain Fog.

Sometimes you just hit the wall as far as thinking goes, so here are some tips that will reduce the times when this happens.

· Exercise. A little or a lot, just do it on a regular basis. It works wonders on your mind and builds up your body to support your work.

· Eat and drink healthily. You know what you are supposed to do and not do, so start doing it.

· Don’t over commit. Learn to say no so you don t get overwhelmed.

· Take breaks. Work in spurts so you don’t burn out.

· Stop multitasking. Multitasking robs your concentration.

Nothing new here, but what would be new is you actually putting the advice to work. Now is that time.

Use it or lose it applies to your concentration as well.

The less you practice concentration the less you have the ability to concentrate.

Concentration is much like a muscle, you have to use it in order to keep it. If you constantly flit from one task to another or never really focus much on something your ability to concentrate is reduced. The power of concentration has to be built up over time by gradually making an effort to concentrate on things more.

Give yourself some things to concentrate on and start building you ability to concentrate back up.
