Your image of the future is what guides your current actions.

Having a positive image of the future will cause you to take positive actions.

Few things kill energy and ambition faster than having a negative view of the future. I mean what is the use if it is not going to make any difference? On the other hand if you think the future is going to be good you will fill with energy and ambition. So if you want to get ahead, it only makes sense to adopt a positive attitude.

Stop pitying yourself.

Self pity only makes things worse for you.

If you spend time feeling sorry for yourself for any length of time, you are stopping your progress. Yes, setbacks hurt and yes you should acknowledge them. But don’t get stuck in self pity. Chances are, no one is coming to save you and it will be up to you to fix your problem. So Instead use the time to see what went wrong and what you can do to fix it. Then do what you can to fix it.

Wipe away the tears and see what you can do to improve things.

The one thing that will remove your feeling of worthlessness.

You change your life until you change your current beliefs and this includes removing your feeling of worthlessness.

We all have at least one area of our life in which we feel worthless. Chances are someone else gave you that feeling and you have run from anything in that area since then. You need to take back that area one step at a time. When you think about being worthless in some area ask yourself what baby step can you take to feel the fear and do it anyway. Then take that step. Give yourself credit for what you did and realize that you are taking your life back.

What baby step can you take right now?

Here are five things you can do to rewire your brain to be happy.

Happiness doesn’t just happen, you have to work for it, but it is fast and easy,

Unless you take steps to be happy, the built in tendency towards negativity most of us have will run things. You have to focus on being happy for it to happen and taking these five steps will really turn things around for you.

1. Think of three things you’re grateful for
2. Write about a positive experience from the past 24 hours
3. Exercise
4. Meditate
5. Perform one random act of kindness.
If you do this every day for just 30 days, it can change the neural pathways in your brain, making happiness second nature.

The enjoyable place in your mind is temporary, or the uncomfortable place in your mind may be standing is temporary. Your now reality is only a temporary, momentary culmination of what you’ve been thinking about. What you think about translates into your reality

Stop saying you just don’t have what it takes and start practicing.

Saying you just don’t have the right genes to do something may fool some people but you know the truth is that you are not putting in the effort.

Genetics play a part, but most of what holds us back is our lack of commitment to practicing until we gain mastery. Maybe you won’t be the best in your field, but I bet you can be a contender. Just committing to making more effort will improve your performance. And once you really put your heart into it, the results will amaze you.

Stop blaming your genes and give it a shot.

Some people find fault like there is a reward for it.

Some people will go to extraordinary means to find problems and involve you in them.

We just can’t avoid the fact that some people are just extreme pessimists. But we can avoid getting tangled up with them. Most of the time it is the same people in our lives that bring problems to us. They try to rope you into their mess and pull you down. Avoid these people at all costs, they can only hurt you. And when you sense a new contact is heading in this direction, start to distance yourself right away.

Hide, the pessimists are coming.

Why is it that some people seem to be happy all the time?

They do this on a regular basis.

They smile. Smiling changes the way we react to the world and the way the world reacts to us, making our lives happier. They also nurture relationships. We really do need people and making relationships work pays back big time. And here is the biggie: they live in the moment. They don’t wallow in the past or worry about the future, they take life as it is and deal with it, good or bad.

Can you set yourself up to be happy right now?

Poor me and “Pour Me Another” are connected.

Self-pity has its place, but it can be self-destructive.

We all have bad days and have plenty of reasons to say “poor me”. But saying “pour me another” is probably not the answer. You will end up feeling better if you identify what went wrong, come up with a fix and at least make some attempt at getting back on track. You will have your sense of self-control back.

Next time you say “Pour me another”, make sure it is a celebration.

Become an extremist.

Make yourself into a person that obtains success beyond any norm.

You can’t be normal and achieve extraordinary results. You cannot have extreme productivity without taking extreme measures. Extreme productivity can only begin with a zero tolerance for unproductive activity. Being normal just isn’t going to cut it.

It is your choice today, be normal and get what you always have gotten or become an extremist and attain success.
