One Minute Motivator # 310

Why many times people are surprised at someone else’s success.

Successful people seem to pop up out of nowhere and surprise everyone.

Many successful people turn out to be successful because they don’t know any better. They don’t know the rules of the game they are in and just do things that make sense to them. They jump into areas that the “pros” avoid. They find areas where the old rules have changed and no one knew it.

Can you wander into success today?

Two ways to stimulate your creativity.

You are going to need to be creative if you are going to accomplish your goals and here are two things to help.

The best things you can have in order to really jump-start your creativity are a deep commitment to making your goals happen and also a pressing problem related to the goal. Deep commitment fosters a positive yet strong desire to make things happen and stimulates your subconscious to come up with ideas. The same for pressing problems related to your goal. You subconscious kicks your creativity into high gear.

Pick a goal and use these techniques on it right now.

When you are stuck solving a problem, change your vantage point.

Taking a different viewpoint could be the key to a new outcome.

Sometimes when you drop something on the floor you have to change your vantage point to gain new information on their position. So it is with issues you are trying to solve. Looking at the issue from a different viewpoint may give you new information that can help you. Search for additional ways you can view the problem so you give yourself new options.

What alternate vantage point can you use today?

Look for people that have other thoughts.

The most successful people mix their thoughts up with thoughts from other people and then pick what is best.

Being a “yes man” might work for the “yes man” but it doesn’t work for the person being “yessed” You can always learn new things and pick up better ideas no matter how good you are.

Start listening to new ideas today.
